The North Kitsap Schools Foundation awards grants directly to educators (including teachers, principals, librarians and other certificated personnel) across all schools and grade levels in the North Kitsap School District.
Grants are awarded to specific individuals or programs for innovative and exciting learning opportunities that enhance the education of North Kitsap students. The NKSF Board of Trustees review all grant applications shortly after the beginning of the school year and select requested proposals for funding. The number of grants awarded varies from year to year, guided by NKSF grant funding policy.
Funding from NKSF grants support STEM/STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) equipment, CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs, field trips to extend learning beyond the classroom, instructional support for budding readers and writers, materials for art, music and PE and more. Previous awards can be found on our Grants In Action page.
