BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The North Kitsap Schools Foundation is comprised of a dedicated team of community members, educators, and administrators who are passionate about supporting the academic and personal achievement of all North Kitsap School District students. Together, we work to bridge the gap between state funding and local needs by providing grant funding for teacher-driven programs that inspire students, spark innovation, and create meaningful learning opportunities.

Stefan Keel
Stefan Keel

President

Stefan Keel is a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran. After military service he has worked as a printing press operator, graphic designer, website designer and developer, an IT systems and network administrator, and writer and nonprofit professional. Stefan moved to Poulsbo in 2018, and lives with his close friend and her young son. He has served with the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Commission, helped raise funds and build the Raab Park Skatepark in Poulsbo, and has been with the NKSF board since spring of 2023. When he's not busy volunteering in North Kitsap Parks and schools, Stefan is a life-long learner, technology tinkerer, and enjoys hiking with his dog, Brie.

Stasie Pike
Stasie Pike

Secretary

Stasie Pike is a long-time community Volunteer! A parent of two North Kitsap students, her North Kitsap School District involvement consists of roles as former PTA Volunteer and President at; Breidablik Elementary, Vinland Elementary, and Poulsbo Middle School and with the NKSD Budget and Calendar Committees. Stasie firmly believes that our schools are most successful with parent and community involvement and support.

Dennis Peters
Dennis Peters

Treasurer

Dennis Peters joined the NKSF board in March 2016 and has served as Treasurer since then, as well as President in 2020, 2021, and the latter half of 2023. He and his wife, Candy, are retired and moved to Poulsbo in 2007. Dennis is a retired U.S. Navy pilot, and worked for 16 years at The First National Bank of Chicago in its overseas offices and U.S. based international operations and in the financial consulting practice of KPMG. He currently serves on the NKSD Facilities Advisory Committee. Dennis has four grandchildren who attend all three levels of North Kitsap School District education, and a son who teaches science in the district.

Katie Lee
Katie Lee

Trustee

Katie Lee has worked for the North Kitsap School District for eighteen years. Starting as a Classroom Mom to support her children’s education, she was hired to maintain the Resource Room at Breidablik Elementary. Having worked at several schools in the district she now works at Vinland Elementary as an ISP Paraeducator, serves on the Leadership Board and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports team, and is the Public School Employee classified union representative. In other volunteer roles, Katie has coached the Special Olympics, was a 4-H leader and barn superintendent, and still volunteers regularly. When she’s not working with students, you can find Katie on her farm with her goats and chickens, developing her garden, or fishing on her family’s boat in Alaska.

Patrick Mace
Patrick Mace

Trustee

Patrick Mace, who returned to North Kitsap in 2020 after a successful career in corporate IT, quickly leveraged his professional background to make significant contributions to the North Kitsap School District. Specializing in electronic curriculum development, website management, and data systems, he plays a key role in modernizing educational technology, communication strategies, and student enrollment. Beyond his district responsibilities, Patrick serves as the Treasurer for the Greater Poulsbo Kiwanis Club, and dedicates his time to various community initiatives. When not immersed in his professional and volunteer work, he enjoys the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his husband and their dog, Darby.
