NKSF to host a teacher luncheon in collaboration with local partners.

Every year, just before the start of the school year, North Kitsap teachers gather together for a day of professional development to set them up for success. This year NKSF has arranged to host a luncheon for the teachers in partnership with the North Kitsap School District, the Poulsbo Lions Club, and Port Madison Enterprises Construction.

Our friends at Poulsbo Lions Club have a history of success in providing delicious meals for the community. Through a terrific partnership arrangement between NKSD and the Lions Club, the Lions Club chefs have agreed to prepare a bratwurst picnic style luncheon to kick off the school year for the teachers with love and encouragement from the community.

The lunch menu will consist of…

• Poulsbo Lions Club’s famous bratwurst (including a plant-based option) with bun and condiments,

• Potato salad,

• A slice of watermelon, and

• A cookie.

With creeping costs always a concern, we’re also very grateful for the additional financial assistance offered by PME Construction to help us purchase the food for the event. We couldn’t have put this together without their backing. 

We love bringing our community partners together in support of our schools, and this luncheon idea is a fantastic example of our vision through a unified showing of appreciation to our teachers and the challenges they face every year in providing an outstanding education for our kids.
