Celebrating Local Businesses That Show Up For North Kitsap Kids Through NKSF Honor Roll Partnerships

There’s a lot to be proud of in North Kitsap, and one of the best parts is how often our community shows up for our students. The North Kitsap Schools Foundation Honor Roll recognizes local businesses that partner with NKSF to help make student opportunities possible across the district.

The Honor Roll is more than a list of names and logos. It’s a reflection of something we see again and again in this community: when schools need support, local businesses step in, not because they have to, but because they care about the place we all call home.

What Is The NKSF Honor Roll?

It includes businesses throughout the community that have contributed to support our work to bridge the funding gap, enabling NKSD teachers to bring stronger learning into their classrooms. Businesses can participate by donating at any time during the calendar year, making it simple to join in when and how it works best for your business.

Just after school begins in September, we begin recognizing Honor Roll members throughout the school year in our communications—celebrating the businesses that help fuel programs, grants, and opportunities that directly support students and educators.

Honor Roll Levels And Recognition

The NKSF Honor Roll includes several giving levels, each with meaningful recognition, so the community can see who’s backing North Kitsap students:

Creator Level ($100-$499): Included in a group social media post recognition, your business name listed on the NKSF Honor Roll webpage and in Honor Roll promotional materials, and a printed certificate.

Pioneer Level ($500-$999): An individual social media post recognition, your business logo on the NKSF Honor Roll webpage, your business name listed in Honor Roll promotional materials, and a printed certificate.

Innovator Level ($1000-$1999): An individual social media post, your business logo on the NKSF website Home Page and Honor Roll page, business name listed in Honor Roll promotional materials and other NKSF event promotional materials, one community announcement in our weekly and monthly newsletters, beginning the month after your gift is received, and a printed and framed certificate.

Leader Level ($2000-$4999): An individual social media post, your business logo on the NKSF website Home Page and Honor Roll page, logo placement in promotional materials and event promotional materials, two community announcements in our weekly and monthly newsletters, beginning the month after your gift is received, your business name listed in NKSF civic presentations, and a printed and framed certificate.

Visionary Level ($5000+): An individual social media post with a dedicated feature story in a Bridging the Gap NKSF email newsletter and blog post, your business logo on the NKSF website Home Page and Honor Roll page, premier placement of your logo in Honor Roll promotional materials and event promotional materials, three community announcements in our weekly and monthly newsletters, beginning the month after your gift is received, your logo placement in NKSF civic presentations, and a printed and framed certificate.

Every Honor Roll participant, at any level, receives a storefront window decal because community support deserves to be seen. Honor Roll participants at every level are also welcome and encouraged to include a coupon in the NKSF Hearthstone annual coupon book, which is given to our sustaining donors as a benefit of their ongoing support.

NKSF is now also accepting in-kind donations of services and materials from businesses to help cover NKSF’s operational expenses, allowing our financial support to more directly benefit teacher-driven education programs throughout the district.
