The NKSF Hearthstone Coupon Book is an annual benefit for North Kitsap Schools Foundation sustaining donors — the community members who support our schools through the SPARK, Luminaries, and Cornerstone Club programs. Every year, these individual donors receive a printed book filled with offers from local businesses that share their commitment to the community. This November is NKSF’s first edition of the Hearthstone Coupon Book.

The name is intentional. Sticking with the theme we’ve chosen to invoke ideas of light and warmth in support of NK schools, a hearthstone is the foundation beneath the fire. It's a fitting name for a program that connects the businesses and individuals who help light the way to stronger education opportunities for students, and gives both something in return.

Your business in the NKSF Hearthstone.

To have a coupon included in the NKSF Hearthstone, you need to be an Honor Roll business partner. Every Honor Roll tier is eligible, including the entry-level Creator tier at $100, and participation is straightforward. You choose the offer type that works best for your business and submit it through our online form. The book is distributed in November 2026, so there's no better time to get your business in.

• Free add-on with purchase

• Buy-one-get-one or bring-a-friend offer

• First-visit or new-customer offer

The Honor Roll of Business Partners updates for 2026

NKSF’s Honor Roll of business partners is how we publicly recognize the local businesses that invest in our schools. This year, we've redesigned the tier structure to make every level more meaningful and every investment more visible to our community. Every tier includes a certificate and recognition decal for your storefront or office, and every tier makes your business eligible for the NKSF Hearthstone.

Here's a summary of each partnership level, starting at the entry point:

Creator — $100 to $499

Named listing on the NKSF Honor Roll webpage and in promotional materials, a group social media post, a certificate, and a recognition decal.

Pioneer — $500 to $999

Everything in Creator, plus an individual social media post and logo on the NKSF Honor Roll webpage.

Innovator — $1,000 to $1,999

Everything in Pioneer, plus logo on the NKSF website Home Page, a named listing in Dine Out and Teacher Development Day event materials, and a framed certificate.

Leader — $2,000 to $4,999

Everything in Innovator, plus logo placement in NKSF promotional materials, logo recognition in Dine Out and Teacher Development Day event materials, and recognition in NKSF civic presentation closing slides.

Visionary — $5,000 and above

Everything in Leader, plus premier logo placement across promotional materials and a dedicated feature story in the NKSF email newsletter and blog.

In-kind contributions welcome

For the first time, NKSF now accepts in-kind gifts that directly support our operations, such as services, equipment, and operational support. In-kind contributions are valued and placed in Honor Roll tiers using an equivalent value system. If your business has something to offer beyond a cash gift, we'd welcome a conversation.

Community Partner Announcements

Innovator, Leader, and Visionary partners receive Community Partner Announcements — a dedicated monthly announcement window across our newsletter network and social media. 

Here's how it works: you choose the month you'd like your announcement to run. Your initial announcement appears at the top of the NKSF Monthly Assembly and is sent to our subscribers on the last day of the preceding month. Reminders run in the NKSF Weekly Update every Friday morning throughout your chosen month. Your social media post goes live on a Wednesday of your choosing during that same month.

Innovator partners receive one Community Partner Announcement per year. Leaders receive up to two. Visionary partners receive up to three.
